Do you sell to private individuals or do you sell only to businesses?

We serve both individuals and businesses of all sizes. We manufacture one-off parts as well as series.

I want a portable air conditioning system and would like to mount it in a non-sliding window. Which product can I install in the window?

Atelier Multifab has developed an exceptional product for portable air conditioning systems. With your system nozzle and window screen in hand, we will manufacture a custom plexiglass that will be installed on your window frame in  the same way your mosquito net is. In addition, we will mold the plexiglass according to your mouthpiece (hence the importance of bringing it to our shop) so that it can be anchored to the plexiglass.

Please note that this is not a plexiglass that we stick with velcro on your mosquito net. Once home, you will be able to store your mosquito net and place the plexiglass in your window frame, so your mosquito net won't be damaged.

If I come to Atelier Multifab to buy plastic, will I need to purchase a whole sheet or can I only purchase the size I need? Moreover, how long will it take?

We sell  most of our products per square inch. If you wish to purchase  a 5 inches x 5 inches piece of plastic, you will only pay for this dimension. As we have all the products on-site, it will only take us 5 to 10 minutes to fill your custom order.

Is plastic the least expensive material, and/or is plexiglass (acrylic) cheaper than glass?

It is extremely important to understand that plastics have different properties than metals, glass or wood. Some plastics can be more expensive than metal or wood, but their special properties can make them two or three times more enduring. They are then more economical in the long run. It is essential to use the right plastic according to its application.

Our advisors will be happy to direct you to the right material.

What's the difference between tephlon and UHMW?

Teflon (or PTFE) is used in high temperature environments, while UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) will be used in applications where the product will be exposed to frictional wear. The UHMW will soften by the heat well before the Teflon is affected. On the other hand, Teflon will wear much faster than UHMW in the presence of friction.
