Teflon

Characteristics

Teflon is an extremely stable thermoplastic polymer. It possesses impressive properties that make it an extraordinary plastic. It exhibits exceptional chemical resistance as well as thermal resistance of up to 500°F.

FDA-approved, Teflon is suitable for a multitude of uses. It withstands the majority of chemicals, UV rays, and compression, in addition to having a low coefficient of friction. However, it is not effective in the presence of abrasion.
